Top 5 budget January date ideas

With January being a month when we all feel the financial pinch it’s difficult not to leave the romance behind until February, but not anymore! Here is how to beat the January blues (and avoid a month of “Netflix and Chill”) with my top 5 January date ideas.

1. Museums and exhibitions.

London is one of the best places for a cheap and fun day out! Just head to the V&A Museum; The Natural History, The Tate Modern, The Photographers Gallery or even the London Film Museum for a fun filled and educational date.

2. Film days.

There is nothing better than getting cosy with a film and a lot of chocolate, and there is no better time to do it than January.  You both have a stack of selection boxes, chocolate Santa’s and naff DVD’s so why not put them together for this chilled out date in.

3. Woodland walks.

If you’re lucky enough to live near a woodland or forest area why not try a romantic winter stroll. Wrap up in your hats and scarves and enjoy the January scenery. Maybe even take a few photographs ready to instagram your unique romantic day out. (Perhaps have the fire ready for then you come home though!)

4. Baking.

Head to the kitchen with your loved one to bake you favorite winter treat! Grab the basics for your chosen goodies and whip up something special to share.

5. Games night.

For the two of you or for a double date, a games night will always be a fun way to make the most of the cold weather. From Monopoly to Guess Who, you’ll be sure to be laughing all night long!
